In this online edition of A Celebration of University Teaching, the Centre for Learning and Teaching is pleased to present the Dalhousie University recipients of awards for teaching excellence. These institutional, regional, and national awards recognize the valuable contributions of a group of outstanding educators through whose efforts students at Dalhousie are guided, enriched, and nurtured in their learning, and prepared for diverse roles in society.

For their efforts to ensure that teaching excellence is recognized and supported at Dalhousie, we thank the many student societies, academic units, and academic and professional bodies who have established awards, and the individual students and academics who have written in support of nominees. We are also grateful to those who provided information about the awards and about the award recipients so that their accomplishments could be recognized.
