Responsibilities and Expectations
The job of a Teaching Assistant is both demanding and rewarding. The TA can expect to be a real asset to a department and to benefit greatly from the teaching experience. The TA is up-to-date and knowledgeable in his or her di scipline, and is often the right age to be an effective role model for undergraduate students. Teaching Assistants are asked to do a variety of jobs, depending on the department, but in each of these they will perform a number of functions.
